Heck if what Trump or any other republican did 40 years ago is relevant then why not in this case?!

If Trump were ever held responsible for what he'd done in any previous 48-hour period, I'd be happy.

In the most recent two days he's tweeted a link from Breitbart, and then in the aftermath of the anti-Muslim terrorists killing dozens of people in New Zealand, pronounced that he is unconcerned about white supremacists. That would be enough to be ridden out of town in any responsible society.

No need to go back two years when he encouraged the Russians to interfere in the election, or five years when he bragged about grabbing women, or thirty years with the Central Park case, or 40 years discriminating as a landlord.

But go ahead and pretend a creative writing exercise in junior high means something important.

^ Here is a list of terrorist attacks. https://en.wikipedia...orist_incidents.

In the grand scheme of things, Trump is quite correct in proportioning risk.

I find it interesting that since the beginning of this year alone there have been hundreds of terrorist attacks across the globe yet the socialists have only seemed concerned about the one that involved some idiot who happened to be white.

Talk about a false comparison. "Hard left-leaning" is not the same as "extreme right" with a habit of knowingly and intentionally printing false information and propaganda. Get back to me when a Democratic candidate for president tweets something from the Palmer Report, and I'll be sure to drop them from my list of viable candidates.

/Not that you could find any instance of Obama tweeting from Mother Jones in any case.

Not even close to the same thing.

Fundamentally different world views, with the left promoting dignity and basic human rights for everyone the world over, regardless of country of origin, religion, or skin colour.

.....and the right promoting anything but.

CNN post far more misinformation and outright propaganda than Breitbart. Your and Cassidy's bias is showing

Well that's just an issue for all parties. Even Trump kisses Isreal's ass.

Please don't pick and choose which party is worse at that.

China certainly doesn’t fall within your definition, as I don’t believe the nation is known for promoting dignity and human rights; neither is Venezuela, or Cuba, or North Korea.

Maybe what you meant to say is hatred and intolerance is not a construct of any one political outlook or affiliation? That would be a little more reasonable of an outlook.

Well, I said "left" as it relates to a discussion about political parties as were being discussed in this thread ... which implies those in democratic, possibly first world countries.

If I was intending to reference the countries you note in your post Mike, I would have said communist countries ... which are a completely different thing than .... say, the Canadian Liberal Party being "left" of the Canadian Conservative Party.

In other words, I wasn't even treading close to referencing communist countries in my post (but you already know that).

Venezuela is in a state of flux.

Designed long ago as a Presidential Republic, it's now a Socialist Republic, and is now morphing further left towards Communism:

More importantly, and as I noted in my last post ... I was speaking about the "left" as we were discussing it in this thread, not as you might twist it to try and make your point!!

Venezuela is in a state of desperation, and our left council is preparing to sue them.

Mueller has finished his report. We'll have to wait to see if/when it's made public.

There you have it folks.  And whether or not it is made public, we know that not a single Trump associate was charged with conspiring with Russia.

'None of the Americans charged by Mueller is accused of conspiring with Russia to interfere in the election — the central question of Mueller’s work. Instead, they pleaded guilty to various crimes including lying to the FBI.'
