I would think that the emotional impact as well as the ability to address it would vary quite a bit as well.
Absolutely. And most people would hope that the emotional impact on the victim is as small as possible. I simply posit that there are possibly ways for some victims to help themselves in this regard. YES, we want to move to a point where there are much fewer victims, but while on the way, surely we also want to find ways to lessen the impacts of abuse. That's all I've been saying here.
