I never looked back at Rifflandia when one year the main act of the night failed to show, and there was no recourse for concertgoers. There ought to be better financial protections for all involved here, when stuff like this happens. These players are performers like anyone else in entertainment and their appearance means something.

For individual acts the person that no-shows should be made to repay the fans.

 

For team sports that leave their best players off the field, the team should have to recompense the ticket holders.
