Yeah the chicken is awesome. It’s insanely popular and they do sell out of virtually everything every night.

It was pretty good. Way too much food though.

Chicken 649's Quadra Street location in Victoria's North Park neighbourhood. The Korean fried chicken eatery will be opening its second location at Fairfield's Cook Street Village by mid-year in a space formerly occupied by Rosie's Diner.

Chimac on Yates @ Wharf come to mind. It's a pub style sit down place, not geared to take out, but still great chicken.

Thunderbird in Cook St Village. There's decent KFC at Persimmon Tree in Langford (near Everything Wine) as well, though their menu is so nice I'd opt to try a few things, not just the chicken.

There's a KFC on Goldstream as well, oh, probably not the same thing.
