I think he parked outside the courthouse today, if the sound level was any indication. No wonder people complained.
Don't know if making the judge super jealous is going to work in this case, might be time to opt for the lawyer?

Man, the sirens in downtown over the last year are out of control. Do we really need all horns blaring at 3AM? Do we??
When we were in the UK in September, the first two weeks we didn't hear a single siren. We were staying in smaller towns but driving quite a lot and didn't encounter anything. The last week in London we heard fewer sirens than we do in Fairfield. I don't think we saw any fire engines deployed, maybe four ambulances, and half a dozen police cars the entire week.

Almost like mircaptain (natural gas). Vic Fire sniffed around and claimed (on the scanner) that it's the result of low tide.
Victoria Fire, Saanich Fire taking several calls. Esquimalt, Oak Bay, Saanich all taking calls for the stink.
No readings on any of their gas monitors.

Saanich police taking calls from the Tillicum area about the stink.
Fortis has crews around and they haven't found anything yet either.

This is a good example of why it will hurt the public when local emergency services encrypt their radios.
So far, I can't find any public announcements of the cause and scope of the smell.

Large fire on the water side of the Coast Hotel. I can't tell if it is at the dock or just above.
The camera phone isn't good at night pictures.

Oh wow, you were witnessing this as it was happening? We were tuned in to the scanner as it was going down. Crazy times.

I started watching just before the fire trucks arrived. The twitter post by someone else shows the blaze pretty well.
There isn't much access to get trucks in there. One set up at the back laneway of the Coast but the smoke was blowing directly at the line of attack.
The fireboat was very quick on the scene so I'm assuming the initial reports said it was a boat. The fireboat did most of the initial work from the upwind side then they got a line in from the fire truck in the other direction.

It's hard to believe that row of detached houses on Pacific Street is still there.
