The Discover Vancouver forum made me despair for humanity.
Thanks Holden

Nowadays most people die of a sort of creeping common sense, and discover when it is too late that the only things one never regrets are one's mistakes.

^ What? No leering at women? That's my regular MO in social situations.

It depends. Wearing a seersucker suit and carrying a mint julep leering at women can be rather charming in a roguish cad sort of way.

Yup. That site makes baby jesus cry.

It's sole redeeming feature is that if it was shut down, it's denizens might find places like this.

Thanks to Caramia for the info, which I find interesting, but not really relevant to the discussion at hand. That which she or he provided may all be, as Holden West says, 'common sense,' but I conclude that in fact, I did not infract any real Vibrant Victoria policy, as no moderator seems to be able to quote such, but rather that I lack 'common sense.' That, apparently is my real crime that has offended the sensibilities of the guardians of the site.

See my comment above where I suggest that people who enter politics either exhibit courage or madness. Thank God no one has suggested I lack courage. Rude references to my mental capacity, and comparisons to lechers cruising parties are all OK, apparently, however.

I confess, I'm mad about politics, thus I lack common sense...mea culpa.

No intention to compare you to a lecher cruising party here.

^ no, that's VHF's specialty. It's funny because it's true!

Actually, with the exception of VHF, you guys ALL sound like a bunch of incredibly magniloquent blowhards to me.

As for the topic, I actually agree with Hartnell. People that post their real names on an internet forum are some combination of stupid/brave. As for myself, I prefer to try and be clever (with emphasis on "try!") and see if anyone can decipher what my moniker means, especially given that many of the people at this forum already know my real name anyway. Here's a hint; my moniker has nothing to do with dentistry. And no, i'm also not gay.
