And just in case you want to do something with those tickets, consider donating them to:
The tickets we gather will be distributed to the Greater Victoria Down Syndrome Society, a non-profit organization that offers services to individuals with Down Syndrome and their families on Vancouver Island.

vey good ted.
Hello Lake Side Buoys and fans of Pacific FC,
As the inaugural Pacific FC season winds down, we would like to celebrate the club, the season, and ourselves with an act of charity.
As you probably know, season tickets include a pair of ticket vouchers, good for any match. Many people have not yet redeemed these, so we are conducting a ticket donation drive to allow some deserving folks from our community to attend a match. The tickets we gather will be distributed to the Greater Victoria Down Syndrome Society, a non-profit organization that offers services to individuals with Down Syndrome and their families on Vancouver Island. What's more, Pacific FC has connected us with a sponsor that will be matching our ticket donations. That means that each voucher you donate will allow *TWO* people to attend the game!

^ Still on track for average of 3,000 per game for the season. About what I expected if not what I hoped for.

I don't know about that. They've drawn an average of 2,874 in league play to date (2,829 if you include the CC match).
So far this season they have averaged 2,800 for Saturday games and 1,895 for Wednesday games (two games left are Wed/Sat). Using those numbers for the last two games (which is generous considering they are both October games and attendance trajectory has been on the decline...if you take out the home opener and the big push for the home "re-opener", Saturday's have only averaged 2,485), they will very likely finish the season with just under 2,800 average for the season. Don't see how they hit 3,000, unless Forge drops off and we go on a big run for a spot on the Championship.

also the next wednesday game you can go to for just two cans of soup so that's not really a fair attendance yardstick either.
most teams have 2 or 3 home games left but only halifax so far has started accepting season ticket renewals (they started on september 14th).

more details on the october 2nd tickets-for-donation plan.
Pacific FC and Dood’s Furniture and Mattress will be giving back to The Mustard Seed and the Goldstream Food Bank in a campaign called Feed the Isle.
https://www.vicnews....cal-food-banks/
Before the Island team’s home game against HFX Wanderers FC on Oct. 2, the team will offer a free ticket to the game for every two non-perishable food items donated.

3968 in calgary tonight we lose 4-1.
i'll make a prediction here. 1 or 2 teams drop out this off-season. perhaps calgary edmonton york or pacific or forge. and no new ones area added. valour and hfx look good.
either the league collapses or it stumbles into year #2.
word is that our owners tried to sell off shares/parts of the team at a $9 million valuation earlier this year. no takers at that price.

have you been offered a renewal package yet tedward?
Nope, nothing yet.
The attendance average just dipped below 3,000 with the most recent game and stands at 2972. http://twitter.com/L...916802523615234
We are still ahead of York.

Somewhere along the way, the September 11 game's attendance was adjusted from 1,200 to 2,384.
Interested in seeing how they came to that number, as there was barely half that many bums in seats.
Posted 23 September 2019 - 03:59 PM
the round number 1200 was always suspect.
