I guess all we know is it was registered on the 24th, and expires in May 2023.

Know it all.

If it were me that created that website I would have used correct grammar (IfIwereyourmayor).

If you're referring to yourself you use "was" if it actually happened:

"I was drunk".

If it's hypothetical or in the future, you use "were":

"If I were drunk I'd govern better".

Ha! That's pretty much the post I deleted above. I'm surprised there was someone willing to be more pedantic than me, but I am pleased that is the case.

It's a WordPress site. Assets are necessarily publicly accessible, otherwise no browser would be able to display them. Not per se a security issue.

the business community now has their Mayor candidate. it's not jeff bray.

it's a name that is extremely well-known across greater victoria.

mark my words here.

I am now told the business community will back Stephen Andrew for mayor now.

Bad move, they need to encourage 2-3 seats on council and forget Mayor, its only 1 vote at the table.

he gave them little choice. he’s running for Mayor and can’t be convinced otherwise. and the business community does not want to risk a vote split.

Unless she changes her mind, Helps isn’t running. On that basis Andrew would not be splitting votes with a ‘business candidate’.

I mean if Andrew went up against another “business” candidate that is not currently on council. that business supports. then alto runs up the middle.

Ben Isitt gets a lot of votes and if he decides to run for mayor the bidness community risks losing further. I second the 'risky play' sentiment.

I think that Andrew would align more closely with the NDP crowd and not be a true business candidate.

I think the business vote just wants law and order and stability. The rate of change since 2014 has been exhausting, and difficult for businesses to adapt to. Whoever promises stability will win.

At this point, I will vote for any candidate who isn't visibly insane.
