“Doug, Penny and Lisa have tremendous amounts of experience and they are all very motivated to help take concrete action on the issues important to British Columbians,” Eby said in a statement.”

Weird nobody tried this before.

I truly think shes going to be used as a scape goat for something or other. Form what I can gather shes not a very well liked person by the majority in provincial government. However shes almost the perfect person to hold accountable for a future misstep.

Sounds like a stepping stone to a bigger position… Adrian Dix committed fraud for his master. Did him pretty good.

With their imminent success, I can see this concept of hiring experts to spread like wildfire. Perhaps it’s time for the province to franchise this?

* surprised Victoria by leaving the municipal bargaining unit immediately upon being elected

* hired the daughter of the finance minister right out of uni for a new role at $130,000

* pushed MMHI to the point of abasement

... and the smiles shone brightly from the NDP.

(this is a small sample, just from memory)

Mayor Helps may be receiving payment for a Faustian bargain, financed by us.

Helps is a lot of things but naïve and stupid are not two of them. She will be running in the upcoming election and will get a Ministry (housing) once elected. She played her cards right as Mayor by offering up Victoria as the playground for social experiments and then lauded the NDP at very corner. Plenty of people in office that Eby didn't hand pick if he is looking to pin a problem on someone.

She is a globalist who has been a speaker at two UN conventions that I know of. I doubt she is disposable. Someone willing to do the bidding with the right charm to pull it off without blowback is a valuable asset. She will spend her career in social engineering either in government or non government.

She is 100% NOT disposable. If Eby tries to pin anything on her then the OBVIOUS retort is that he CHOSE her in the first place. NEVER going to happen. Protecting #1 is the hallmark of any politician.

I would be surprised if she was doing much on the housing file at all. I think her highest and best use right now is organizing factions for the upcoming election.

If there's one thing socialists excel at, it's spending other people's money.

And add a 0 on the end of each of those amounts by considering the polling, research, organization and free labour that the unions, NDP, UVIC and NPOs provided.

Yep. Money abounds for those towing the line. The UN stated explicitly that they needed local government to implement agenda 2030. The UN is the co director with Bloomberg of the covenant of mayors that Lisa belonged to (or belongs) the tangled web of other NGOs also seem to have infinite funds to push forward this clown world update. The first step is to just not go along to get along.

Out spent and out organized. This is a hill that can be climbed but it can't be done within 6 months of the election. It can't be done with a lack of focus and organization, and it can't be done without some endorsements and some weight behind those candidates. There were efforts - hurculean by some. We had good people step up - but when it comes to getting the message out: good governance matters, public safety matters, etc. - there's a whole lot more that needed to be done that could not be done.

And regarding good governance, won't be done based on the majority of those who were elected. The CoV essentially has a carbon copy of the 2018-2022 council, and we know how most of them regarded governance.

If you get organized then the big guns will fire at you. Let’s not forget the tar and feather treatment the VIVA candidates received from the media. That was on the house…
