Personally I wouldn’t expand the tagline with “working for”. It has a kind of redundant circularity and is too cute. Just my opinion.

Very good, Janice! I may print that out and hand it out to some folks, esp. those who don't keep a close track on who's running.

you'll have my vote.. and going for council seat is smart.. there are more council seats available then mayoral seats (only the 1) and better to be at the table then not at all...
it's nice to see someone running with practical plans, and practical ways to go about it, not idealistic dreams and random "bold statements" about housing costs and helping homelessness and how they plan to make victoria this idealistic perfect utopia with no idea how to get there other then taxing the citizens more and more

Hi I see the news has already hit here -
I've started a campaign twitter account @VoteYYJWilliams, and there's a campaign facebook page - I've also established a campaign specific email address if you'd like to reach out that way - its willvotewilliams@gmail.com .
Thank you to those here (and elsewhere) who have encouraged me to run, I appreciate it - and look forward to the campaign ahead.

Haven't listened to the interview, but text says "Geoff also said he has not made up his mind if he will be running again for a spot on council this fall": https://www.iheartra...47?mode=Article

Just discovered this web page. I also haven't heard really anything about this next municipal election (didn't even know twas happening). If you fellows don't mind, I'd like to give an opinion from a sixteen year old: I feel that now is not a time where we can stick behind a banner of unity, for its cloth has already been infested by moths. The only way that properly sensible people can get to win in this city is if we stand behind the bloody banner of wrath. People are so apathetic these days, no one cares. Anger will make them care. If one knows about the brilliance that was seen in this city during the era of its founding, and is also forced to look at the dreggy streets now, it'll make them angry. We can't be effective when we try to bring ourselves into unity with evil, and foolery.
I remember a time when my mother felt safe to walk downtown, or when I could go all around beacon hill park without ever seeing a trace of the homeless issue (it has gotten a lot better over there, admittedly). Perhaps it was because I was too young to see these things, but it just feels as if this city was less cluttered, and also safer (in fact, we've had bloody psychotic people roaming around near the house even more recently. We moved in with my grandparents because it was too much having to deal with the strange layabouts on our old street).
I'm just sad for what was lost.
