The massing as seen from Esquimalt Road as you approach downtown is quite something.

This is where Mike K.'s furry Fiat has its advantages. No damage whenever somebody flips it, and no waking the neighbours whenever it gets flipped in the middle of the night.

No chance. Mike K. stores those vehicles securely on the second level of the auxiliary garage (the one with the ochre travertine exterior and gold plating on the doors -- you can't miss it, it's between the Roman-themed guest house and the Polynesian-themed guest house, just past the Arabian-themed guest house).

19 floors have been framed/poured. I am guessing the rebar goes to about the level of the 21st floor.

From some angles east/northeast of downtown this building and the office block between Pandora and Cormorant look like they're a twin tower project. Both of them have similar plain white panel cladding and small windows.
This picture by thegreatscaper at flickr.com shows what I was getting at. But upon further review I think I wasn't giving the windows on the office block enough props. They seem generously large by comparison to the windows on the apartment tower.

Agreed. The window-to-wall ratio is better on the office building.
