This project is headed for a public hearing on February 27th, but the opportunity to write council with your thoughts is limited to submissions received by end-of-day tomorrow (Feb 19th). To write council, email them at mayorandcouncil@victoria.ca

This project will need support as it is technically in Fernwood and outside of Harris Green where densities are significantly higher (i.e. the Johnson|Cook|Yates and Harris Dodge projects).

Nice. There is an affordable ownership component to this project similar to Vivid, which was very well received by first-time-buyers when it hit the market.

This location has about as much relationship to Fernwood as Langford has to Paris. The CoV's neighbourhood boundaries are absurd.

I hope this project goes foward, just was hoping it woul look more like what Starlight is proposing at chrysler location. that type of design is beautiful and uses the land very well.

I am afraid this type of project will become a breeding ground for people shooting up. To many corners and blind spots in this design. There is already a problem right now on the property for that.

It will be better then it is now for sure. hopefully the city passes it.

Writing mayor and council will be helpful, for sure.

Writing mayor and council will be helpful, for sure.

If nothing else, it will get Ben some fresh names for his TV email distribution lists.

That may be your last opportunity to write Council, but you have until the start of the Public Hearing to provide written correspondence as per the Local Government Act. Note that written submissions should be emailed to publichearings@victoria.ca as per the notification: https://www.victoria...nson Street.pdf

The fact that this project will include over 100 below market affordable condominiums offered under BC Housing’s

HousingHUB Affordable Homeownership Program (same program as Vivid, I think) is huge. Over a third of these affordable homes will be two and three-bedroom suites.

I heared a rumor Starlight is trying to buy up more land in this neighbourhood.

Maybe they are planning on buying this site! Design wise couldn't hurt..

I'm shocked...said no one. Nice to know Ben has a new BFF. I wonder how Jeremy is handling this.

Because it isn't going to be "free" housing I suppose.

Good on Sarah Potts and Jeremy Loveday for supporting this.  Even Together Victoria Councillors are showing that they don't always vote as a bloc...

No rentals here, but it will have a B.C. Housing-supported affordable ownership component similar to what Chard did with Vivid.
