Although Saanich is moving forward with its project quite a while after Victoria set out to build a replacement for its #1 fire hall, both projects could complete in 2023. The CoV, meanwhile, is working towards approvals for its new Johnson Street facility.

Hmm. Maybe Saanich should pursue something similar to CoV with a residential portion of this project. It's in a prime residential area, there a lot of condos around here, more would be welcome.

It loos like the planning process will be lengthy enough as it is, and they need to get going on this thing pretty quick. They're storing vehicles out in Central Saanich!

Given that the Victoria project appears to be stalled I think that getting a new firehall should be priority #1.
