Israelis accused of using StingRay cell phone listening devices near the White House to capture Trump's cell calls. But unlike past administrations, the current White House hasn't publicly complained.

Entrepreneur Andrew Yang promised during Thursday night's debate to give a total of $120,000 to at least 10 random families over the next year – the latest campaign stunt from the unconventional candidate who says he would push for a universal basic income plan as president.

“I’m going to do something unprecedented tonight," Yang said in his opening statement. "My campaign will now give a freedom dividend of $1,000 a month for an entire year to 10 American families – someone watching this at home right now. If you believe that you can solve your own problems better than any politician go to Yang2020.com and tell us how $1,000 a month will do just that.”

Some pretty shoddy reporting over the last few days is playing into Trump’s hands.

Politico, the Grey Lady and CNN (obviously) couldn’t hold down their liquor and put out some epic nonsense.

How is this still happening?

I think Vox did a pretty good job of breaking down the Kavanaugh/Times conflict.

Sounds like NYT editors removed the reference to the alleged victim not remembering the Kavanaugh incident from the submitted draft.

Yikes. That’s a blatant fudge it, we’re a propaganda machine, let’s not even pretend we’re not step.

“I hope there’s an age limit,” [Jimmy] Carter said with a laugh as he answered audience questions during his annual report at the Carter Center in Atlanta. “If I were just 80 years old, if I was 15 years younger, I don’t believe I could undertake the duties I experienced when I was president.”

Carter’s observation came in response to a jovial inquiry about whether he had considered running in 2020 since he’s still constitutionally allowed another term. The 39th president left office in 1981 at the age of 56 after losing his reelection bid to Ronald Reagan, who served two terms and left office as the oldest sitting president in history, at 77.

Either Biden or Sanders would be older upon their inauguration than Reagan was on his final day in the Oval Office. At 73, President Donald Trump is a record setter, as well. He eclipsed Reagan’s mark as the oldest newly elected president in history and would become the oldest president to be reelected. Age has been a flashpoint for some critics of Trump, Sanders and Biden.

I had to read that again because I couldn't believe it. I remember people always joking about Reagan's advanced age. Even in his first term.

Biden and sanders health would appear to be no problem in 2020. But how does it look in 2022 or at re-election time in 2024? Maybe with a straight face one of them should say they only plan one term and wish to help promote the vp in 2024.

I'm less concerned with their physical health, and more concerned about age-related cognitive decline. It affects nearly everyone and almost always accelerates in the mid to late 70s. I'd be a little worried about a President in their 80s.
