Very well done Stephen! I am proud to support you for our city council.

Great interview Stephen ,I just listen now . Unfortunately I’ve jumped ship and moved out of Victoria  or you’d have my vote too. Keep up the common sense attitude . I’ll be watching the polls .

I guess the candidate nomination deadline is Nov 6. What are the chances that that a Geohagen-type candidate will mysteriously surface to split the moderate/sane vote?

One of the former mayoral candidates has already intimidated he’s seriously considering it, although that was before the election window had been pushed back to 2021 as city hall tried to figure out what to do.

Know it all.

Oh come now, there were at least 2 people over 30 in that group. I am also sure the one non-caucasian rep was the one taking the picture.

If a Federal snap election gets called today then all bets are off the table.

^ Good plan. Common tactic is for 'competitors' to send people in from out of the area to sign nomination papers and then get that candidate disqualified.

if you meant to say "intimidated" then that's damn funny ;-)

I think that’s why they ask for ID and proof of residency. Believe it or not there are very few people that will cheat when they have to do it in person with ID. Plus of course the candidate gets many more signatures than required.

That was the point I was making. IIRC, the NDP candidate running against Cullen was disqualified due to invalid signatures on her nomination card.

Reminiscent of Bulroney running for the PC leadership. He bussed in dozens of rubbies from the Old Brewery Mission in Montreal and gave them a beer to take out party memberships and vote for him.

Nope. It was mentioned on VV even before the election was called that the NDP was trying to prevent certain FN and progressive candidates from being nominated.

I saw a Stephen Andrew campaign sign on Moss Street today.

The municipal by-election is under 2 months away now...
