Well in just one month they’ve now excavated quite a bit, easy digging so far, no muck or boulders. This one could go quickly. Could be one of the nicest buildings we’ve had in a long while.

Hopefully they will eventually hit some bedrock so the building has something to be anchored to other than clay.

Oh they’ve hit bedrock alright. Couple mounds to blast on the east frontage, not sure how much blasting is required on the westside.Hopefully they will eventually hit some bedrock so the building has something to be anchored to other than clay.

Another day older and deeper in mud.
Took a rip into Victoria today for a dozen assorted Tim’s and decided to check out this massive hole in the ground. I swear the excavator got stuck in the mud.
Loads of underground work happening on Cook, tried to snap a photo of another giant hole in the ground where they were installing a new water main, the old brick one in the ground was all smashed up. Some guy in an excavator yelled at us to get away from his hole before I could snap a pic, too bad.
Here’s the old Pluto’s lot.

Cook Street is closed between Fort and Yates through this weekend to permit crane assembly and installation at the Mod site.
