Applications are in for a gin bar in the "Design District" of downtown Victoria. The permits are filed under the main address, 1802 Government Street, but I assume the business will be located in 1820 Government Street, which has been listed for lease recently.

 

BP for strip out issued Nov 25

BP for tenant improvements in process

Liquor License application for food primary is in process

 

Definitely lots of gin being made in the region!

A wood store was a previous tenant, I believe? I think they sold reclaimed wood products.

Do we know when they are hoping to open?

There will be a change of use so there will be lengthy demands in terms of washrooms, accessibility and fire separation. Current construction climate, probably 3-4 months, if no delays by architect, engineer, city, crd or liquor board.
