I say we all head over to Mike DeWolfe's, each give him three bucks and he'll cook us up a giant batch of noodles.

I've only been to the Douglas St. one and thought it was fine but eating out of a box for me is more of a picnic thing. For eight bucks I'd rather have a plate, thanks.

As for the franchise plans I can see it being more of a hit in smaller cities like Kelowna than big multi-cultural centres like Vancouver or Seattle but who knows?

WAit a minute! I do seem to remember that Noodle Box does taste very similar to Pho Vietnamese Restaurant, with the lime? I would like to go to either restaurant and spend my money downtown. However, downtown Victoria is turning into a **** hole, literally, I am like a growing number of Victorians who don't like to go there anymore. We would only go if there was a really big show worth seeing. The social rejects and deviants isn't a major attraction. :smt011

I am pretty much done with these guys. I have found very inconsistent styles of cooking the dishes that I normally get and it would be very difficult to train everyone the same way at the different stores on all the different shifts. Sometimes they add WAY to much heat when you say "mild+" and that is a real hassle when you just got home and want to eat the stuff.

I have found it to be a very "memorable" taste to the dishes (not one that I like any more.) Kind of like that Subway bread smell when you first walk in the door. I stopped going to Subway years ago.

Anyway, Noodle Box maybe in pinch nowadays.

I think it would be a hit wherever there are a lot of students and/or a lot of tourists. Students love noodles for some reason and I've seen plenty of positive mentions for this place in travel reviews.

Why do student eat noodles at restaurants? Don't they eat enough noodles back at the apartment?

I might ask why they eat them at all.

^because they are tasty, quick, and cost next to nothing.

I'm too much of a snob to eat Mr. Noodles though. I prefer Kraft Dinner. :D

Someone mentioned Noodle Box being the little restaurant on Fisgard that could, except Noodle Box didn't start on Fisgard St., it actually started as a cart in the inner harbour. Years ago I remember people ranting about how great it was before they even had a location.

Ironically, I have never tried their food.

I prefer the real chinese and korean varieties of instant noodles available at the Fisgard Market.

I've never been to The Noodle Box. My loyalty is to Hope Key.

Yes Noodle Box did start their empire as a cart, but it was located at the end of Fisgard Street in the parking lot (across from Bean Around the World). Good it was so cool.
