There will be bars airing Macy’s parade, and Black Friday is ubiquitous in every Canadian city. We also understand people might take a long weekend to celebrate if they’re American, or to travel to the US.

US culture is ingrained in ours, for sure.

Turning one TV to US channels doesn’t count.

At least half of the 3 or 4 hundred boats in Roche Harbor (San Juan Island) on July 4th are from Canadian ports of call.

All down there to participate in the July 4th celebrations with our American cousins.

It's a massive party of Canadians and Americans, one that's been going on for decades now.

 

It may not be "here" per see, but it is only 5 miles east of us ... so basically "here".

The B.C. Centre for Disease Control is no longer notifying the public of COVID-19 exposures on flights, trains, buses or cruise ships.

The B.C. CDC said that the changeover, which came into effect Nov. 16, comes just ahead of federal regulations that require all airline, rail and cruise ship passengers to be fully vaccinated by Nov. 30.

Quick note to those folks who commented that moving the "alternative" COVID view to a separate thread from this one was a good idea ... (and of course such an idea was undertaken by the moderators).

If you don't want alt.crap-posts to show up in this thread, then don't go into these folks alt.covid thread and crap post on what they're posting there!

 

It's common sense, good for the goose, good for the gander and all that.

 

The idea isn't to create an alt.covid thread and then go **** all over what they're posting! ... I thought that would be obvious?

it's actually just an *op-ed* in the national post. i also don't think you can expect anyone to watch a whole 2-hour youtube clip, especially considering the dodgy information on social media relating to the pandemic.

Exactly, it's an opinion so I'm not sure how "quack" relates to it. It's also a major mainstream newspaper so also not sure how alt pertained to it.
