Tonight (Saturday, Oct 3) we will be upgrading the server that runs this website. While the switch will be instantaneous, the pointers to this website from internet service providers will have to update to reflect the new server, and this takes 2-24 hours, typically, so some of you may get access shortly after the switch, others may not get access until late Sunday.

The switch will take place at around 9PM tonight (Saturday) and will also affect the Citified website.

Is this why I currently cannot access VV on my phone?

That may be related, yes. My understanding is the actual switch will occur just after 9PM.

When you say on your phone, do you mean LTE?

I can’t remember what time it was last nigh.

maybe 11pm?

not lte. Just using iOS but on my home wifi.

I don’t know how long it was out for total but at least 15 minutes. I went to bed while it was still out so did not check again for hours later.

All is good now, though? I’m on mobile and have no issues at the moment.

I still cannot access on my phone. I get a "Web page not available" message and the following.

"The Web page at https://vibrantvictoia.ca/forum might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address"

Access has been really inconsistent for me over the last several weeks. I've been thinking it was my beta versions of chrome.

Sometimes one browser will get the unavailable message but another browser on the same phone will have no problem with access.

I'm on desktop and I'm experiencing intermittent quality issues with Victoria Watcher's posts. In the local politics threads they render adequately but in the Trump thread they are more error-filled as they appear on my screen.

I need technical help please.

We have 2 iPads. One iPad gets VV easily this morning and the other iPad does not.

It says Safari cannot open the page because it could not establish a secure connection to the server.

I have rebooted and cleared the cache, history and cookies.

Any ideas?

...It says Safari cannot open the page because it could not establish a secure connection to the server...

I get pretty much the same message when I try to access VV on my ancient Android phone.
