This is a bit frustrating. So far I liked the way the old version worked better.

I don't know where the private message tab is, or how do I know if I have a message.

I quess there are settings that are not working yet.

I don't want to see old postings from a few years ago when I go to a thread.

I was able to set it up before so that the newest posting was at the top of the page.

  I'll try again in a couple of days.

Very top right corner of the screen you'll see your username.  Click on that and you'll see "Personal Messenger"

That's right, and there is also the mail icon to the left of the username that will light up when a private message is received.

Any new software takes a little while to get used to but before you know it you'll get the hang of things.

We're getting used to the new system ourselves :)

Visually, this is very clean, which I really like. I already miss being able to jump right to the most recent post on a topic. I've tried the "Go to First Unread Post" button on a couple of threads, and both times I've been dropped into posts I read weeks ago.

I always used the "getnew" search URL before... how can I accomplish something similar now? When I click "view new content" up top there it says search is not enabled...

There's a LOT of white (the old design had lots of pale blue and somewhat darker text), which in combination with the light black font I find tiring to view on a monitor, but will still visit from time to time.  I'm not seeing any settings' option for forum formats.  (attempted to add an image as an example, but "you are not allowed to use that image extension" error message occurs for .JPG images)

Relax everyone. Let's give Dylan and Mike some time to get the wheels on this bus. We can have question and answer period tomorrow.

I need my VV fix to go with my coffeeee, so I'm back.

In case you haven't noticed, the tab for "View new content" is not operational.

Looking forward to the bus ride. Cheers

For fun, let's go back in time to November 2006 and remind ourselves what the forum used to look like.

Or if this change is a little too much for you, you can always go back and have a look at the previous version by clicking on gumgum's magic link

That's great stuff, gumgum :)

Btw, the new posts feature is now fixed.

@Jill, we'll have to look into what is causing the problem. Could just be a cache issue where the system simply needs to be brought up to speed on where everyone's last read post is.

The admins are probably aware of this issue, but when you click on new content it shows the list of unread threads like it's supposed to. But clicking on one of the links take you to the very first page of the thread, not to the last page you had read.

^Click on the date and it will take you to the latest post, just like in olden times.

Warning points? What's a warning point? Who has the most?

^I should have mentioned that the issue is on the mobile version.I can't see an option to click anything other than the beginning of the thread.

Ah nevermind. I got it now. Sorry.

Fun's over. Warning points removed!

@Holden, good call regarding clicking on the dates. We'll have to implement something that mirrors what we had on vBulletin as it made navigation much easier.
