When exactly did Canada vote for mandates?

This is the second time they have said that. They claim that they campaigned on that when they held election. This is why the protest was illegitimated.

I feel like I am watching an episode of Andor....

Then they should also admit that the Conservatives received more votes than the Liberals did in the last election.

One of the lawyers pointed out they only got 31% of the popular vote.

The Civil Liberties cross examination was excellent. I like Miller’s jab at the end but she was straight to the point.

An Ottawa police spokespserson said the service is aware of Bauder's Facebook post.

"The Ottawa Police Service is aware of information posted to social media channels," the spokesperson said in an email. "The Ottawa Police continually monitors for upcoming events, protests, and demonstrations that may impact the City. Once identified we plan accordingly in a collaborative manner with our City partners and other agencies."

^ how about instead “we accept that peaceful protest is part of Canadian society and the right of every citizen”?

Freeland made it clear. That only counts if it's not against them. Clear.

I might look into getting an RV for that weekend.

I am curious if Miller has hard evidence of them planting the flag. He is pretty bold about his claims and as a lawyer he knows that the burden of proof is on those that make the claim.

Maybe he knows it's mentioned in the redacted documents?

The Emergencies Act is clear that the CISIS act defines the threshold to invoke it. Freeland testified that the law doesn't apply to them. They have the authority. Exactly what an authoritarian would say...

She relied on legal advice. The lawyer claims client attorney privilege. So no answers given. Transparency!

She also claims that mandates had no effect on supply chains.

U.S. concern about convoy blockades meant a 'dangerous moment for Canada,' Freeland tells inquiry

https://www.cbc.ca/n...quiry-1.6662347

Tearing up at one point, Freeland defended her government's actions by arguing economic security is linked to national security.

"I really do believe our security as a country is built on our economic security," she said.

"And if our economic security is threatened, all of our security is threatened. And I think that's true for us as a country. And it's true for individuals."

I’m sure that’s not likely to play well with liberals. “The USA told us it was getting serious”.

Like the threat to our personal economy "get an experimental medical procedure or lose your job"?

"And if our economic security is threatened, all of our security is threatened. And I think that's true for us as a country. And it's true for individuals."

From the Charter of Rights

Section 7 – Life, liberty and security of the person

iii) Right to security of the person
Security of the person is generally given a broad interpretation and has both a physical and psychological aspect. The right encompasses freedom from the threat of physical punishment or suffering ]as well as freedom from such punishment itself

Security of the person includes a person’s right to control his/her own bodily integrity. It will be engaged where the state interferes with personal autonomy and a person's ability to control his or her own physical or psychological integrity, for example by prohibiting assisted suicide or regulating abortion or imposing unwanted medical treatment

But somehow Canada's economic security was in no way threatened through government mandated business shutdowns.🤔
