It was a bit gross but there were some fabulous local dining options! Marble arch, montanas, Safeway, Hampton little league concession…

Uhm, no....Mantra Indian Cuisine would be my only choice in that hood.

It does make you wonder why we have detailed community planning documents for each neighbourhood, but then we consider this blanket policy that overrides them all.

That's what politics is all about. You pound something into people's heads and then once you've got buy-in you turn the tables. Over and over and over again. There's no way to win the game because they reserve the right to change the rules at any moment. So why keep playing?

I was looking at that map and curiously, one house which is listed as "Actual use - single family dwelling" was divided up years ago into four condos I think. Why does that occur? It wasn't a very large house to begin with, I think it was raised so there are two suites at ground level, and two on the main level.

Easy. It rents for 6-7k now. As a house it’d be what, half that?

I was play acting the kids complaining about the privileged old people taking all the opportunities from them.

Tongue in cheek with Safeway and Montana’s obviously but the rest are solid! The Indian place was good too!

I’ve been to three Marble Arch’s - London, saanich and Vancouver. All very, very different.

That was a smattering of applause by the masked revengers. The “crowd” didn’t applaud. Adam is stoking the divide and conquer / us vs them distraction like a true media man instead of focusing on the real issues. It should be repeated over and over that this should be an election issue because it’s removing the process of public engagement at it it’s core. Not that the can should be kicked but rather that we the people who’s communities are being “profoundly changed” by the flavour of the day should have a vote at the very least. AND it shouted noted this flavour is a globalist directive being coached by a non democratic NGO with opaque funding.

The mayor should have remarked that we do not make veiled threats in council chambers. Or swear.

This isn’t the UVic SUB.

That’s true. It was striking. And after the safe space lecture it would only have made sense.
But she isn’t even running again…

As I remarked earlier, with one third of the existing council being lame ducks, unless the vote is delayed until after the election, it WILL be passed.

Of course it will. She has to do this or she won’t advance. I’m sure each councillor got a horse head in the bed…

Lisa Helps spoke at this last conference. She is a member of the forum of mayors a UN organization and has explicitly stated she is motivated by implementing section 11. Of agenda 2030 SDG.

“ Paragraph 89 of the 2030 Agenda calls on major groups and other stakeholders, including local authorities, to report on their contribution to the implementation of the Agenda. Local and regional governments have a wealth of valuable experience in the "localization" of the 2030 Agenda, where they provide leadership in the mobilization of a wide range of stakeholders, the facilitation of "bottom-up" and inclusive processes, and the formation of multi-stakeholder partnerships.”
