That’s the story… that this has nothing to do with local politics or local drama…

But the media doesn’t report on it for some reason even though it’s right there in our faces. Just take a few moments to look at it.

Lisa Helps spoke at this last conference. She is a member of the forum of mayors a UN organization and has explicitly stated she is motivated by implementing section 11. Of agenda 2030 SDG.

“ Paragraph 89 of the 2030 Agenda calls on major groups and other stakeholders, including local authorities, to report on their contribution to the implementation of the Agenda. Local and regional governments have a wealth of valuable experience in the "localization" of the 2030 Agenda, where they provide leadership in the mobilization of a wide range of stakeholders, the facilitation of "bottom-up" and inclusive processes, and the formation of multi-stakeholder partnerships.”

"report on" doesn't really say it's just a trend....

This information doesn't really require a degree in journalism even. Just the ability to type into a search bar....

Just like "The Missing Middle" simply veiling authoritarian dictates is a shroud of greater good emotional appeals is not the way forward for a free and open society. History is full of great humanitarian tragedies enabled by being sold a solution to a greater good.

What gives these people the right to decide what is best for ALL of us? How can they possibly be so wise as to know without a shadow of doubt the best one way for everywhere to solve all the worlds problems?

"Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

47. Our Governments have the primary responsibility for follow-up and review, at
the national, regional and global levels, in relation to the progress made in
implementing the Goals and targets over the coming 15 years. To support
accountability to our citizens, we will provide for systematic follow-up and review
at the various levels, as set out in this Agenda and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda.
The high-level political forum under the auspices of the General Assembly and the
Economic and Social Council will have the central role in overseeing follow-up and
review at the global level."

Beware of anyone offering a final solution to anything.

I note that Eby has appeared several times lately in the media heaping effusive praise on Victoria’s MMI.  Probably a taste of what’s to come when he becomes Premier and possibly hinting at a role for Lisa in the new administration.

Both of these prognostications make me physically ill.

Unfortunately there are no doctors, so you could try fasting and meditation.

If the future of BC is David Eby and Lisa Helps, I am not sure I want to be a part of it.

Is assisted death available for this malady?

Even if it were, I don't have doctor to make the final call or administer the fatal dose.

David Eby on CFAX said as premier he would look into having government more involved in the housing sector to build more “attainable housing.”

Know it all.
Citified.ca is Victoria's most comprehensive research resource for new-build homes and commercial spaces.

With phrasing like that Eby, is sure to be BC's version of Justin Trudeau.

That's a bit rich coming from Andrew Weaver. Let's not forget that without his support, the NDP might never have formed a government in 2017, leading us to the mess we have today.

Can't the incoming council in the fall just rescind this initiative?

Seeing a lot of Andrew Weaver publicity lately, what is he planning on running for?

Maybe challenge Eby?

Life's a journey......so roll down the window and enjoy the breeze.

They could, but I very much doubt they would.

The housing crisis has been dragging on for ~70 years but until today nobody had ever considered more government involvement as a possible remedy. Kudos to Eby for being innovative enough to think outside the box.

Because they have really shown over the last few years that we are so much better off with their interventions…
