I was trying to purchase Peacock last night only to be discriminated against as a Canadian. I wanted to watch that 70s show, made it past the VPN hurdle but need a US credit card. Suppose I’ll just get a gift card and register it to the US. Don’t know if the visa/master gift card needs to be purchased in the US though?

Maybe Peacock is happy with their roughly 330 million potential users down in the US and don’t really care about the other 30 million in Canada

They don’t have the Canadian rights for most of their shows. A Canadian provider might.

From my research in 2023 can only get That 70s Show from Peacock

We also can’t get Hulu in Canada. I’m upset about that also.

Freeland accused of being ‘smug’, ‘clueless’ after Disney+ comment

..“I personally, as a mother and wife, look carefully at my credit card bill once a month, and last Sunday I said to the kids, ‘You’re older now. You don’t watch Disney anymore. Let’s cut that Disney Plus subscription,”’...
https://globalnews.c...mment-reaction/

I have a Disney+ subscription. I watch King of the Hill, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Simpsons, Malcolm in the Middle

All of which are later teens to adult.

Peacock is free in the US, at least most of their programs are. Paramount plus is another one that Yellowstone is broadcast on, but it is fee based.

That 70 Show is part of the premium part of Peacock.

That 70s Show reminds me of the 90s, haven’t really watched any of it in about 10 years. Very annoying because I was going to try and relax and watch that show instead this is just getting my blood pressure up. Grinding my gears

Paramount+ you can get a free week or so with a trial, just need to keep creating disposable emails(assuming they don’t track your credit card/other). They got “Rabbit Hole” but I’m not sure if it was Kiefer Sutherland’s best work

VICE Media LLC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Monday, a process that is likely to result in the sale of the company. The news comes a few weeks after the company shuttered VICE World News and canceled VICE News Tonight, its flagship news television program, resulting in more than 100 layoffs across the newsroom. The company will continue to operate normally during the Chapter 11 process.

Always had a hard time taking Vice seriously, never that good reporting, seem to be targeted at the under 18 crowd(for kids)

I think I said it before but I knew the founder from back in my university days. He was the head canvasser at Greenpeace in Ottawa. I canvased there for a summer. He told us to just use slips of paper for cash donations to save on the official receipts. One day my buddy and I saw them all in the trash. His Bio totally trumps up his role at Greenpeace too. He was a canvas lead. Nothing more. So he is a liar and a thief. Perfect to run a media outlet! No wonder they rose to fame and fortune from a government sponsored Zine out of Montreal.....

Also, never give cash to a canvasser without getting an official receipt. Unless you consider it a tip.
