Government housing is also the catch-all housing that private orgs can no longer manage, so there is a need for government housing. There are so many sad cases out there, especially involving children whose parents can’t play adult, or have issues that get in the way of functioning well around rules.

Know it all.

We are going to eventually wind up like every other country that has been around for a while, council flats, the projects etc.

Why don't we just start building those now on vacant, unused, underused property and leave established neighbourhoods alone?

^ the funny thing is, those are rare in the newest first world countries.

Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, even Cuba. 90% plus home ownership rates.
