In the old days (circa two years ago) this would have been knocked down a month ago, and construction crews would have started excavation.

This deconstruction-by-hand policy might look green on paper, but in practice it's a racket. It drags out projects, drives up costs, and delays much-needed housing, especially when homelessness is a crisis. I appreciate the effort to salvage. We really don't need boutique salvaged lumber right now we need homes.
