How it works now is when a project seeking variances is approved without a public hearing, the public still has a month to write to council before the approval is formally ratified.

In this case, there are quite a number of variances being sought but all have technically been approved, pending this feedback period.

Ok so they will have development permit in ~60 days. Onto building permit and hopefully starting construction this year!

Sounds basically approved subject to last minute public comments. Chard is a bit different to our friend across the bay - they seem to build what they say they will

Hmm.  Chard has a lot of projects moving ahead.  Finishing up this one, the hotel on Broad Street, three towers project on Douglas...  They do seem to finish on time but that seems to be crazy busy for one company.

Not sure what’s happening across the street, but it’s been a year since the CoV granted approvals. The economic situation has only gotten trickier since then.
