^Not to mention the great view of the indoor pool in the house right beside the public lookout.

I was able to get up in a minivan about six years ago, a Corolla wouldn’t make it. Since then it’s been high clearance only and it’s just gotten worse. Impassible for most, people go half way and walk the rest.

Hop On Hop Off goes to Oak Bay but not Cadboro Bay or Mt. Tolmie. Those would surely be quality and popular spots.

Lots of buses go up Mt. Tolmie. I don't know if they're cruise ship tours or what they are, but there be plenty of them.

On a good evening when the sun is going down there can be hundreds of people up there.

Hikers and neighbours in Saanich have been doing double-takes this weekend after spotting a portable toilet perched in an unusual and highly visible spot on Mount Tolmie.
The blue unit, normally stationed at the summit for park users, somehow ended up partway down a ledge.

For several days it’s been dangling there, catching the eyes of passersby and prompting calls and emails to CHEK News from curious residents.
The District of Saanich says it is aware of the situation. A spokesperson told CHEK News their contractor cannot retrieve the toilet because of its precarious placement down the slope.

An overturned porta-potty that caught the attention of many on Mount Tolmie over the weekend has been returned to the summit, according to Saanich.
However, the unit is still awaiting an exchange for a clean unit which a spokesperson for the district says should take place “sometime tomorrow.”
A tow truck winched the porta-potty up to the summit by a tow truck.
Hikers on the mountain initially reached out to CHEK News on Aug. 23 asking about the porta-potty which is normally at the summit, but instead was on its side partway down the hill.
On Sunday, the District of Saanich told CHEK News it was aware of the situation and that their contractor did not retrieve it due to the precarious place on the mountain.

Were two tow trucks somehow involved?
