Like I say, it's interesting that the CoV back in the 1960s was pushing for high density on the Oak Bay Lodge property (which the CoV owned, even though it was inside Oak Bay). And so here we are setting the stage for it to happen in the 2020s.

.... why are we even bothering to spotlight tiny Oak Bay when there are gigantic areas of Greater Victoria and the CRD which could easily accommodate thousands of new homes, and quickly?
Because the NDP, like most socialists, are all about blaming those who have more and creating divisions among people. Oak Bay is an easy target for them.

Asking Oak Bay to build a little bit of housing is not the end of the world. Worst case for Oak Bay is they’ll have to raise property taxes to finally get on with and pay for underground works.
Know it all.
