One of the greatest in history, for sure.

It sure was. Tyson walks away unscathed and $25M richer. For the most part he looks good having gone 8 rounds. Paul comes across as less of a douche and with a huge boost to his production company and bank account. He now effectively owns boxing from a promotions standpoint even saying that the world champion now needs him.

That’s work for ya! $20,000,000 is a solid payday.

Even with the fix being obviously “in”, something still felt terribly off in terms of Tysons performance.
A look back to the video of his training just a week ago shows a completely different Tyson - a seemingly very capable Tyson.
I wonder if he experienced some sort of malady (other than simply old age) in the week prior to the fight?
Last weeks training videos and last nights fight literally look like two completely different people.

We wanted a vicious fight but in the end we got bread and circus. That’s reality for you. 🤷🏽

Could also be that the first rounds blows reminded him he is 58 and needed to go four rounds to get the millions. Paul knowing that if he murdered Tyson he would never live it down.

This is Mike’s statement:

This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time.

I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won.

To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you 🙏

Who knows. I wanted a fight too but was happy with my circus time with my son.

Oh? Well that changes things. I heard he had an ulcer, that’s why the first fight date was pushed back.

I'm still trying to figure out why people are cheering for a convicted rapist and cannibal.

Cannibal! Hahaha. Holyfield forgave him long ago. Not sure about rape victims.

A friend with a close connection to Tyson says he wasn’t training as much as it was implied he was, and the hard training footage was spliced to create the impression he was a beast.

My friend was told by people on the Tyson team, that if he was encouraged to do better he’d get upset at the team, and then there would be familial problems so the family insisted on letting Mike be Mike and to not push him too hard.

Take that for what you will. I’m just passing along what I was told.

There was always a feeling that this could happen and yet the stream peaked at 65 million households.

Media consultant Joe Hand Promotions distributed the event to over 6000 bars and restaurants in the United States, setting the record for commercial distribution of a combat sports event in the company's 50+ year history.

Why did Joe Hand have to distribute anything when it was already on Netflix.

What did Joe distribute?

Netflix can’t be used commercially (legally).

So Joe Hand distributed the feed via DirecTV for a higher price.

I wondered about that. Some Canadians were looking for a legit alternative and couldn’t find one. I’m guessing there wasn’t one and pubs just played it on the DL.
