Worth mentioning is that the WNBA is still at a high school level of officiating. To note that the WNBA needs to overhaul their entire officiating process, and get some knowledgable ref's that aren't concerned with maintaining friendships with the players is an understatement.

That’s because they play at a high school level of basketball. The only problem with the WNBA is simply that the level of play is not impressive enough to want to watch it. ie, they suck.

Male fans don’t want to watch women who are not better than them play bball. And females largely don’t watch sports. Maybe they can find a niche audience with the nonbinary crowd. But regular people will never want to watch the WNBA.

Tickets go from $10 for the cheap seats up to $115 for courtside sections. Had no idea it was so cheap. This probably explains the turnout

Phoenix Mercury get pretty good turnout, lowest available ticket price for their next game is $29.

 

I have paid that little for Coyotes tickets in the past.

That’s because they play at a high school level of basketball. 

Sinking "3's" from the paint on the regular is way beyond "high school" level play.

 

The WNBA has quite a few issues they need to solve, but on-tap talent most definitely isn't one of them.

“In the paint” means from the rectangular area directly under the hoop… where it’s not possible to score a 3 pointer from.

WNBA level of play is about on par with American high school boys.

Granted, it may be a different game if women weren’t required to play by the same rules and had a court design based on the average size and strength of the female players.

The men do have an advantage, all things being equal.

After WNBA players reported racial slurs being yelled by fans, the league launched an investigation which turned up truly sickening results. Here are the eleven racial slurs that are often heard at WNBA games:

1. "Let's go Fever, let's go": Literally cheering for white people. Disgusting.

2. "Aaaaair-ball": Yelling about air while black people can't breathe? These are monsters we're dealing with.

3. "Hot doooogs, get yer hot doooogs!": Bet they're served on a white bun. Does the bigotry know no bounds?

4. "DE-FENSE": Chanting to defend the status quo of white supremacy. This has no place in sports.

5. "Daddy, I have to go potty": In a white urinal. Do you see the pattern yet?

6. "Shoot the ball!": An open call for gun violence, which disproportionately affects minorities. Sickening.

7. "Traveling!": Yelling for black women to stay in their place. So vile.

8. "Brick!": An explicit call to throw bricks at minorities, just like back in the Jim Crow South.

9. "Charge!": The solution is not charging more black people with crimes, racist.

10. "Pass it!": They really do think a black woman can't score on her own.

11. "Why do they keep punching that one white girl?": Can it, little girl.

We just hope the WNBA will finally take action to get their fans under control.
