...Once again council remains true to form by allowing only a ridiculously small window for comment and making a decision before there is public consultation.
What the $#@% is the point in seeking input when approval has already been given?

Holy hell!Here’s five years prior:
A Victoria shipyard rigger has been sentenced to 90 days in jail followed by two years of probation after pleading guilty to a sexual offence involving a seven-year-old girl.
Michael Lockhart, 55, pleaded guilty in Victoria provincial court to the charge of invitation to sexual touching. Crown prosecutor Patrick Weir told Judge Evan Blake that the girl had known Lockhart her whole life. He was a family friend and had a relationship with the girl’s mother.

So this incident took place nearly 7 years ago and his brother goes on TV today and says he was just about to turn his life around.
Uh huh.
Same bullshit story with these people. Not only do they screw up their own lives, they bring other people down as well.

I'll let you know when I burn all bridges due to drug use, alcoholism and a criminal history.
Liberals really are the most pathetic species on this planet.

The fact that this rally concerns sheltering in “so-called Victoria” pretty much tells you everything that you need to know.

Are there other convicted pedophiles living in Victoria’s parks as vulnerable homeless persons?
You set a high bar with the convicted criterion. Most of them are probably awaiting trial and have been released on a promise to appear.

Desiree Franz is not backing down.
Franz is the organizer behind a planned protest against the closure of the former Victory Church emergency homeless shelter, scheduled for Gyro Park in Penticton Friday afternoon.
After hearing about her plans for protestors to gather and set up a tent city in the park to show city council what the future holds if the roughly 40 people who use the shelter each night suddenly have no place to go, Penticton RCMP took the step of sending out a media release, warning potential attendees of fines and repercussions under current public health orders.
Franz said she herself called the police Thursday morning to declare the event and find out how she could comply to existing rules.
"I did my due diligence when I called the RCMP this morning. They raised some concerns with me, and one of those was that I will be fined if I choose to continue," Franz said.
"And I've chosen to continue."

The Victory Church winter shelter at 352 Winnipeg Street in downtown Penticton was originally approved by council to continue its operations on an emergency basis until April 1, 2021.
Due to a lack of alternative housing options for the 42 residents the shelter currently houses, BC Housing asked the city to keep the shelter open for an additional year until March 31, 2022.
Council quickly and unanimously shot down the request on March 2. Councillors and the mayor cited safety and security concerns and a lack of transparency from BC Housing as the main reasons for their decision.
______________
If the shelter is forced to cease operations on April 1, all 42 residents will be displaced.
B.C. Housing Minister David Eby was outspoken against council’s decision, stating he believes the city has put itself at risk of creating a tent city. BC Housing is currently trying to find homes for people living in tent cities in Vancouver, Victoria and Nanaimo.
Eby said he fears Penticton is flirting with a similar situation.

...In recent days Laurel Collins has been tweeting about Big Oil and pharmacare, and Grace Lore retweeting about childcare spaces.....
To be fair, I am sure they are also dreaming up new ways to tell us that we are nearing the home stretch in the fight against COVID, but only so long as everyone stays passive and adheres to the government's overreach rules.
