A slight update on the other thread re: 'where to go for breakfast in Victoria'.

We know about the Ogden Pt Cafe but just wondering if anyone can recommend based on personal experience a good reasonably priced breakfast place that accomodates man's best friend, and also has a decent selection of gluten-free items for Mrs Bambam. If I can since we'll be driving I'd like to avoid the dt core due to parking hassles but if you know of such a foodie place that checks all the boxes, is dt, and serves killer food, by all means rsvp. Thanks folks....

If you find one, remind me to never go there. I cannot stand people bringing their disgusting dogs inside restaurants.

On the patio, sure I guess. But inside? While people are eating breakfast? No thanks.

Dogs are permitted on patios at the business’ discretion but only service animals are allowed indoors.

You can call any animal a service animal and you needn’t provide any proof if questioned.

Huh? Never said anything about indoors. Not even sure there is such a place in Victoria. I assumed anyone reading that would have understood I was referring to outside on a patio. Anyone who has ever been to Ogden Pt would know they only allow dogs on their patio.

Anyway with a bit more research last night I found out there are upwards of 40 such foodie places regionally so I just need to find one that accomodates the pooch and my wife's gluten restriction and off we go.

Try Cherries. I’m there right now! Excellent food, low key atmosphere and a patio.

A VV forumer is eating breakfast at noon. Shocking twist.

Let me get this straight. Your dogs just sit there and wait while you VV forumers finish your breakfasts?

Those are some incredibly patient dogs.

There are more than one of those too, Bam Bam. One in Royal Oak as well.

Cherries is an all day breakfast place, I had a bowl that was good, and no dog waiting for me... but I imagined Bam's big old dog sitting beside me... close enough :).

I did not but the wife loved them. I got one of the brekkie hash dishes and ww toast. Just the ticket. And their coffee is really good too. We'll go back for sure. Best of all there were 4 other doggo's in that section of the outdoor patio to keep our guy amused. All very well behaved.

I like the design - an indoor seating area for those who want or prefer that option, an outdoor patio with heater units and full canvas roof that 'can' be used for diners and their pooches as needed, and an adjacent outside area covered by umbrellas, no heaters, and where most customers and their furry friends are seated.
