Boundary recommended for new Vancouver Island municipality

https://cheknews.ca/...pality-1268583/

The proposed boundaries are set up in part to limit costs related to road upgrades and policing. They increase if a municipality’s population reaches 5,000 people. Currently, the report’s author estimates 4,400 live within the boundaries.

Having been to the Errington Farmer's Market and Hi Neighbour day a few times back in the day when a buddy had a long time girlfriend who lived in Errington I'm pretty certain I know what the main "crop" is locally, its the same herbal commodity that is the main 'economic driver' in the area, lol.....

It's a bit silly though, they are literally trying to make the boundaries such that they don't include areas where they might incur large road/infrastructure costs (they want others to pay for that, of course) and they are trying to keep under the 5,000 threshold (I presume that is policing and other stuff).  That's kind of gerrymandering.

Indeed it is. Is the province wise enough to sniff this out?
