Gutfeld is going on Fallon next week.

That's cool.

Fox News late night host Greg Gutfeld will be a guest on Jimmy Fallon's "Tonight Show," marking the libertarian-leaning on-air persona's first appearance on a traditional network late-night talk show.

His debut guest appearance is scheduled for the Thursday, August 7 episode, an NBC spokesperson confirmed.

Gutfeld is the host of Fox News’ late-night "Gutfeld!" which debuted in April 2021 and has found success, averaging 3.29 million viewers, according to Late Nighter.

The comedian and political commentator has long criticized late-night hosts like Seth Meyers and Jimmy Kimmel. But he expressed a soft spot for Fallon during a Thursday, July 31 episode of the Fox News conservative cable hit "The Five."

Fox News Channel host Greg Gutfeld’s first appearance on NBC’s "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" last Thursday delivered the program’s largest audience of the year.

The "Gutfeld!" namesake joined Fallon from the iconic Studio 6B in Rockefeller Center, a stone’s throw from FOX News Media’s New York City headquarters in Manhattan.

Gutfeld’s appearance drew 1.7 million viewers, marking the highest-rated "Tonight Show" of 2025 and giving the program a 57% increase compared to its year-to-date average of 1.1 million viewers, according to data from Nielsen Media Research.

The Jonas Brothers were the other guests the night of Gutfeld's appearance. The YouTube clip of Gutfeld's appearance had nearly 1 million views as of Tuesday afternoon, the most of any interview on Fallon's channel in nearly a month.

Kat and Tyrus both hosted this week, Gutfeld was off.   It was pretty terrible.

I like Kat, but Tyrus is just horrible. Not sure why they even have on the show.

Gutfeld is the star, and if he's not there I don't watch

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel tore into Time magazine's 2025 Person of the Year cover featuring the "Architects of AI," referring to the eight-person lineup of tech CEOs as "the eight dorks of the apocalypse."

Kimmel kicked off Thursday's episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" with a dramatic reveal of Time's Person of the Year, slamming the outlet for not only its choice of winners, but also the cover's overall design, which he said looked like "Photoshop from 2007."

The cover features Meta's Mark Zuckerberg, xAI's Elon Musk, OpenAI's Sam Altman, AMD's Lisa Su, Nvidia's Jensen Huang, Demis Hassabis of Google DeepMind, Anthropic's Dario Amodei and Fei-Fei Li of Stanford and World Labs.

"Elon Musk, Sam Altman, Mark Zuckerberg and five other off-kilter tech sisters and bros, the architects of AI, are the Person of the Year," Kimmel revealed to his audience, which booed in response.

It's clear they can never let Gutfeld take a week off ever again.

When asked about his future endeavours, Colbert said that he doesn’t want to close any doors. Seth asked him if the Netflix deal was just a rumour or whether the streaming giants were actually offering him over $13 million (Rs 119 crore). Colbert just said, “Not enough money.” When asked whether he is running for President, Colbert pointed out that with the way things are going, he might get paid more for that, than he would get with the Netflix deal.

He continued joking with Seth and asked him if the Saturday Night Live boss, Lorne Michaels, was in the building. He told Seth, “Tell him that I am available in June. I don’t know if he’s still hiring. I need a showman. I mean, I am fine for cash, but Evie (his wife) would want me out of the house. I’d do a Bill Clinton impression.” Seth replied to this by saying, “If I told Lorne Michaels that you would work for scale, that would work.”

Colbert also revealed that the date of the last episode is going to be May 21. He also revealed that he would like to interview the new Pope before he hangs up his boots.
