I dunno, the Christmas cup controversy has put me off the Pumpkin Spice Lattes.

Don't think I've ever received a plastic bag from Starbucks

I saw a funny post on FB that since people are so offended by the red cups they should just use all the colours (i.e., rainbow = pride) because how could that offend anyone.

Remind me what the problem is with the red cups.

Know it all.

Christians are using them as the focus for the "happy holidays" vs "merry Christmas" backlash because they have nothing Christmassy on them.

Because polar bears and snowflakes mean Jesus.

Nothing Christmassy about a red cup with a green logo and a white lid.

If you're looking to multinational for profit corporations to lead the re-emergence of Christianity, you're going to have a bad time.

The new cups are just following the same design trend we see all over the internet now - flat, bland, minimalist crap.

I hope the graphic designers are paid accordingly :)

I see nothing wrong with snowflakes and snowmen on the cups.  They don't have to be "Christmas" cups to be seasonal.

Canadian Tire really embraces the "Christmas" in their seasonal holiday advertising material.

I think the new cups are boring and I preferred when they had polar bears and snowflakes.  Polar bears and snowflakes admittedly sucked me in to buying some peppermint mochas.

Cook St Village Starbucks will be getting a total remake this spring which will include a total gutting.

The person who oversaw the Oak Bay locations re-design is doing the Cook St one.

There will be less counter space or and more seating and space for retail displays.

This according to the Manager Brittany  of this location

Update on Cook St Village Starbucks.

The place will stay open during re-construction for take away only.

The space will increase from 40 seats to 60 seats .

They will be losing their conference room in the rear and the location will be square when the angled wall behind the counter is removed.

This will be one of the first local Starbucks that will be serving Beer and Wine in the evenings.

Starbucks across the country have empty seats in the evenings and by selling Beer and Wine are hoping of fill those seats during lulls in coffee sales

Construction has been delayed and they are now forecasting it to begin in July 2016

In Victoria there is an easier way to fill seats just need to go Dutch style.
