Storrie says the four founders felt the impact of their work Saturday after they “flipped the switch on this morning, surrounded by 40 or so volunteers and DJS dozens of people crowded around the deck to celebrate.”

As of day one, Storrie says they’re already reaching an audience of nearly 500 unique listeners, with over 1,200 connections in the first six hours, (half the population of Pender).

Live365 allows online radio like this to be able to stream licensed music (to all of Canada, Mexico, US and UK) fairly affordably.

Not sure if Pender Radio is using this specific brand, but they play music with no commercials during non-peek hours so they must have licensing somehow.
