You guys make your jokes but the fact is, those statistics are backed up by various other trusted local institutions, including the Ian Thow School of Financial Management and the Christophe Rocancourt Entrepreneurship Institute.

Sad that this was not appreciated. Good post!

It looks like Bobbi Leach left Paretologic/RevenueWire and started or joined PayMotion.

https://ideamensch.com/bobbi-leach/

But now it has closed:

https://paymotion.com/end-of-service/

or maybe paymotion was just another one of pereira's companies.

As a teenager, Victoria-based Mike Rowe was on the front page of news sites around the world for standing off against Microsoft.

  • Now, 17 years later and with $2.5 million in seed funds, his new company, Defined, is building what they’re calling 'the front page of decentralized finance'. Defined is building tools that enable people to harness live and historical data to transact across multiple blockchains and protocols. The company launched last week with funding from Boris Wertz (Version One Ventures), Andrew Wilkinson (Tiny Capital) (for those who do not know, this is the same fella of Capital Daily & rolling out same format across province etc.) , Mark Cuban, Balaji Srinivasan and other investors.

  • To read about Rowe’s battle against Microsoft and what he’s working on now, check out our story: ➞ With 2.5M in seed funds, Defined is building the front page of DeFi. from https://www.vantechj...ined-seed-round

Canon Inc., best known for its cameras, is developing a strong interest in a Saanichton-based chipmaker as it makes a play for the medical device field.

The Japanese multinational will pay about $345 million to expand its 15% ownership stake of Redlen Technologies Inc. to 100% in a deal that ultimately values the company at just north of $400 million.

One of the early pioneers of computing support firms locally for sure; these guys have been around since I was 14 and truly at the forefront when business computing was in its infancy and all mainframe/green screens.....none of that fancy Windows stuff! Good for Mr Life:
