...Ran into Matt after the 54.40 shoe...
As Ed Sullivan used to say, that's a "really big shoe"

Bryan Adams will play at the Save On Foods Memorial Centre on Tuesday, June 5th.
Adams has one the most well honed touring shows on the road today.
A razor sharp entourage of long time band-mates, and pretty much every song of the night a top ten (most are #1) hit at some point in the last 40 years.
Folks may not realize that Adams tours constantly throughout the year ... and does so year after year. He's never stopped touring his live show.
He may go a year or two off the North American radar, but only because he also tours to every country in the world that can safely support a live rock show.

Sort of the Elton John of Canadian touring.

Here's an example of how far and wide Adams tours, from the last big tour:

Love a good old Canadian party but are stationed on the other side of the globe? Oman is a country at the bottom of the Arabian peninsula beside Yemen.
The 25th Annual Canadian StampedeComing up in a few weeks time is the best outdoor party held annually here in Oman, the Canadian Stampede party, held for the 25th time at the PDO club's volleyball courts. The Stampede party draws its theme from the annual Calgary Stampede held in.... Calgary every year (that ones been running for over 100 years).
Tickets to the Stampede party are difficult to get normally - you need to be a member of the PDO club, or be friends with someone who is. The Stampede gets started at 7pm on Friday 9th March at the PDO Club and ticket prices are held firm again this year at RO 25. The Golden Garter shooter saloon will be back once again... its a magical place!
Your ticket gets you the following:
1. Entry, of course!
2. Buffet dinner... Canadian style
3. A bandana
4. A Sheriff's badge
5. 3 drink tickets - additional drinks are RO 1.5 each.
6. A beer koozie
7. Live music from The Distillers (great band from Dubai who played the 7's last year)
8. Water is complimentary
9. A photo to remember the party by, you can ride a Bull (not real!) or sit in a Chuck Wagon... or do both!

Ah you must be young, having known Carlin as the Voice of that TRAIN on that childrens TV show?
I first heard Carlin on Vinyl as my dad used to buy his albums he put out of his live performances.
Al Sleet, the Hippy Dippy Weather man. My dad also had all the demo records often before they were released to the public as he was in the biz.
I still have that .45 stored away. Classic stuff:
"....“The weather tonight: dark. Turning partly light by morning.”
And this gem
"....The radar is picking up a line of thundershowers which extends from a point 9 miles NNE of Secaucus, New Jersey, along a line and 6 miles either side of the line to a point 5 miles SSW of Fond Du Lac. However, the radar is also picking up a squadron of Russian ICBMs... so I wouldn't sweat the thundershowers..."

So close you must have been sweating Burr spit!
Glad you got to see him. He’s funny.
Here's the thing.
I wouldn't have got to see his act let alone get front row seats if it wasn't for the likes of Stub Hub. Our government is contemplating controlling the reselling of concert tickets.
I say concentrate your efforts on services like roads, highways, and health care and quit messing with private enterprise where people have the wherewithal to rent their house or sell some tickets.
Get away from me.

Genuine reselling is great. Scalping dozens or hundreds of tickets is not. I don’t mind if someone can scalp 4 tickets.
Promoters and ticket agencies who withhold tickets and then sell them at huge premiums through 3rd party sites that they also own are what get me.

They ALL do it too. If an effective ban comes (and I doubt it will) then it will have big artists skipping BC. Big win for Washington State.
