Zone leaves so much to be desired. If they were just a quarter of Vancouver's Fox I'd be happy. Sadly they're like the Q but with younger DJ's and newer, edgier pop songs.

^ True but still the only option for me if I am not listening to either CFUV or CBC.

You mean you don't drive around with the fuzz/drone of The Fox? Sometimes I wonder why I make myself endure radio static just to hear a better station. Maybe it's a subconscious pullback to the days of ole when AM radio was in and signal fuzz was as cool as extra tweeters and two 20" subs are today.

I am still trying to overcome the days of the Fox being the cheesey rock station when I was in highschool. Back then only tight-pant wearing rockers would be caught dead listening to the Fox. To be honest I have not listened since the 80's.

Radio is so out. Podcasts are the way of the future baby!

I just can't believe cbc doesn't even hit the radar when it comes to ratings. It's one of my go-to's (when I'm not geeking-out on a podcast).

I like podcasts but I find them selfish and closed minded. In that I tend to only choose to listen to shows I really like, such as Ideas.

The stuff you can pick up listening to CBC or CFUV without choice sometimes can lead to new areas of interest. I mean you have to hear a show before you find out if you like them.

CBC had a very strong showing this fall at 9.9% market share up from 8.6% a year ago.

Go here to download the Canada report (Victoria is the last page). Note, it has a typo--the most current period--highlighted green area is 2007, not 2006.

Renovations to the Fort St. offices of The Ocean/Jack FM reveal the old logo of CJVI AM 900.
