I will bet that Thrifty's will close both of them and sell in store.

That means the would have to keep the licenses.
Predictive text and a tiny keyboard are not my friends!

Many years ago Thrifty sold a very popular brand of alcohol due to a loophole. Can you name it?

Anybody know if the two new Thriftys booze stores kept the points card the previous owners offered?

I think the wife had a healthy points balance...

^No, an actual brand of beverage alcohol. Popular at wild parties and bars. Not Chinese cooking wine.

Jagermeister. Before it became known as a hip nightclub shooter it was sold in Thrifty's deli department as an obscure European cooking ingredient.

Hah! I was going to say Scope.

Cough syrup is pretty popular in some circles of 14/15 year olds as well.

Pick up your miniature Christmas tree at the Cloverdale and Quadra Thrifty Foods, and while you are at it, buy a pumpkin for Halloween.

There is a note on the door of that Thrifty's apologizing for the early xmas decor. It says the store was used for staff training.

Yes the store will be open at 5 am tomorrow for staff from all the other Thrifty stores.

They have a good deal on Smile cards for this weekend only.

Pay for a $100 Smile card and receive $110. If you spend up to $500 you get a smile card with a $550 value.

Using the extra fifty dollars will almost cover the additional cost of shopping at Thriftys.
