I’m going to guess Isitt and Potts.

Know it all.

Glad to see this project could get a second life. IMO this is the type of density we need to be encouraging right now.

Isitt and Dubow both voted against the project getting a second life. They disagreed with the project's lack of affordable units as opposed to needing a full council to provide fairness to the developer.

This shows that TV isn't a unified bloc as Potts didn't vote with Dubow...?

Haven't been following this project really but this commentary from the development manager makes some interesting claims.

... If we bring forward a proposal which meets or exceeds all aspects of the policies outlined by the city and has community support, but it is ultimately rejected, the basis for our industry’s business model fails. At that point, the ability to build in Victoria stops becoming about policy and starts becoming about politics...

I imagine that this project will now get approved following the election of Stephen Andrew...

In theory that could be true.

What stood out to me was the comment that their understanding was that projects already under way weren't subject to those policy changes, except those who voted against it double-backed on that. How do you even operate in an environment like that?

It is easy as a developer to operate in Victoria's environment today:- you build in Langford.

Hey Ben.....thanks for keeping the crowds down at Mocha House by making sure this project doesn't get built

Sad you are just one of two that made that happen

What would be the best way to show support for this project? Just email the generic mayor and council email address?

This is going back to Council for re-consideration on Thursday, July 15.

I anticipate that this one will pass unless Stephen Andrew objects to it...

We can only hope it passes. There is no reason, at all, for this not to become a welcome part of the village.
