This is like a reading comprehension test in elementary school.  I see two guys looking right.  But I know I've got to use other clues too...   :rtfm:

Long scarf, see one, and then a short scarf... clean-shaven, ya...

John has his hands partially tucked into some sort of tool-belt apparatus; George has narrow lapels on his jacket; Paul has a cuff-link showing at his right wrist and the other guy is Ringo.

Do you love a good scare and getting together with hundreds of your ghoulish friends?

Then the Royal BC Museum has just the ticket – and they’re on sale as of 10 a.m. Friday morning, Sept. 20.

Night Shift: the Halloween version, is an adult-only licensed event happening Oct. 26 at the museum, where you can wander through selected galleries in costume, enjoy drinks and nibblies and marvel at the lengths some people go to get decked on for this special night.

Wildlife Photographer of the Year winning images for 2019 and where to see them

Exhibition including B.C., Saskatchewan, Ontario photographers will visit Toronto, Victoria

https://www.cbc.ca/n...October 17 2019

The Royal B.C. Museum in Victoria from Feb. 14 to March 29, 2020.

An hour before the photo was taken, the marmot had spotted the Tibetan fox and whistled an alarm to warn the other 30 marmots in its colony to take cover. But seeing as the fox, a mother with three kits, had not moved in a long time, the marmot left its burrow again, explains the caption for the photo.

The fox killed the marmot shortly after the photo, titled The Moment, was taken.

The Royal BC Museum’s largest attraction is celebrating a big birthday milestone.

Woolly the Mammoth debuted in Victoria 40 years ago in December 1979, and the museum is celebrating with a mammoth-sized celebration for the furry fan favourite.

The four-hour party takes place on January 26th, 2020, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. The party will have music, crafts, and educational animation station, and an hourly chance to win one of five stuffed Woollies!

The museum’s mammoth, Woolly, is marking 40 years of greeting some 12 million visitors. In an effort to celebrate his time in the Ice Age and the fact he’s now middle-aged, the RBCM is hosting a birthday party fit for a mammoth in the Natural History Gallery on Jan. 26. From noon until 4 p.m., all are welcome to stop in for music, crafts, an animation station and prizes.

The latest display changes to the mammoth exhibit and the B.C. wildlife showcase are a little odd. They blocked a portion of the mammoth showcase for a large display that goes against the flow of the space. So odd. And other changes to the displays feel a little too modern/out of sync with the previous displays.

Maybe I’m just getting old.

Know it all.

I am guessing most of them are dead by now anyway.

The Royal BC Museum is going to be a little more affordable.

Lisa Beare, the province’s minister of tourism, arts and culture, announced in a press release Tuesday that the admission to the Royal BC Museum will now be half-price until Sept. 7.

“Now that we’re into Phase 3, I am encouraging British Columbians to explore the sights and attractions our province has to offer,” Beare said in the press release, adding. “To give people a safe, affordable, family-centred experience, we’re providing half-price entry to the Royal BC Museum all summer.”

It may be half price, but the two most popular (and debatably "best") attractions at the museum are still closed - those being "Old Town" and all of it's associated galleries, and the First Peoples Gallery, which is basically the entire First Nations exhibit.

No bargain to be found with those two galleries still closed.

As much as I appreciate the first class nature of the Provincial Museum, I've long maintained that it should be half price (or less) for residents of British Columbia, as the museum was created with our tax dollars, and is still supported with our tax dollars.

I remember when the museum was free. We used to go all the time as you could just go and concentrate on a small area instead of rushing through to get your money's worth. Then we had the family pass, which was a good deal.

The cost of this screenshot comes with quite a price tag.

The Royal BC Museum announced Aug. 31 that it has purchased IMAX Victoria from Destination Cinema for $3.8 million, thanks to a provincial government grant.

The purchase is part of long-term planning aimed at modernizing the RBCM facility, where the IMAX Victoria Theatre has been in operation since 1998.

Not the same as the Maritime Museum as their is obviously no plan to move public displays, but that is a substantial investment in Colwood.

The 14,000-square-metre, state-of-the-art building is part of a modernization effort to protect collections and archives and make them more accessible to the public.  The province purchased the Royal Bay land for $14 million. The construction of the new building is expected to support 900 jobs.

The public museum will remain in the downtown location. The new construction, set to break ground in 2021 and expected to be complete by 2024, will include research facilities, improve public access to the museum’s collections not on display and offer learning opportunities online for students in an energy-efficient building in Royal Bay.
