And up goes the region's carbon footprint once again.

Carbon is vital to the growth of plants and trees.. which oddly are vital to us.

Yeah i guess we should be wary of cutting them down at the same time then. Anyways last year was a gong show so hopefully this year mre people will choose the low carbon option of walking.

Something fundamentally wrong with walking to a drive-thru movie :P

In all honesty tho, it it that much worse than parking at Christmas?

Proving again that people in Victoria will go to anything that's free. Come on, I can probably buy ET for 99 cents on DVD and watch it on a 47" screen at home, that's gotta be a bigger screen perspectively, and sitting or lying on my couch has gotta be better than watching from a car. I'm even old enough that my mom lets me make out with broads at home on the couch, so it's not like I need to use my car to get some action.

Last time someone on this forum made a joke like that a womens' studies student wrote a thesis on it.
"Beaver, ahoy!""The bridge is like a magnet, attracting both pedestrians and over 30,000 vehicles daily who enjoy the views of Victoria's harbour. The skyline may change, but "Big Blue" as some call it, will always be there."

"Womens' Studies students have no sense of humour." That statement alone aught to get a doctoral dissertation from one of them.;)

This event will start up in early August. I'll be out of town for the first showing but I'd like to make it to the second of the three.

This is a great idea and should be expanded to more venues across town.

Mayfair reported this morning that they had a few tickets left still for this week. You have to go to the concierge desk and make a donation.

It's not inexpensive. About $350 for the rights to the film, and then the cost of the projector, screen and radio system. I'm sure you don't get away with it for less than $1000.
