I'm just baffled at all these local people that despite social distancing and extreme hygiene seem to be catching some sort of virus that is laying them low. I know of about half a dozen people.

I know you're a smart guy, Bernard, but 'if there's any chance' it could be COVID-19 really is a crapshoot these days. People with no symptoms, people who only have the loss of smell, people with an irregular heartbeat, people with what looks like frostbite on their toes, etc... lots of people are presenting for something other than the COVID hallmark symptoms and are testing positive for it.
This thing is really bizarre.

Or somehow false positives?

Any chance this was just a different take on what your son came down with, as in it effected you differently?

Wow, Bernard, that’s crazy. This has been a bad flu season all around.

Based on my doctor;s comments, no.
I have never had anything like this. I spent the Easter weekend dreaming of hardcore painkillers. I went about 110 hours in constant heavy pain, nade sleeping hard to do

And please pay no mind to this Don Rickles "insult comedy" phase that I seem to be in right now.
(That shouldn't be too difficult, since most of of you never pay any mind to my posts. Exhibit A: this post from 2016 should have 27,000 likes by now. Instead it's sporting a big fat zero.)

27,000 posts and we still do not know your thoughts on this mayor and city council.

Yeah, he does like to keep a tight lip about such things. Bit of an enigma in that regard, for sure.
