I meant Blanshard and Cloverdale..oops :)  Apparently it will take about a year to build. Across from Red Robin makes a bit of sense?

Do you possibly mean BLANSHARD & Cloverdale? Seems a bit of an odd location. I would think a restaurant that serves breakfast would make a more logical choice next to the motel.

Heard a rumour that Bin 4 is opening on Douglas St. Where the old ABC Country used to be at Douglas and Cloverdale. pre-construction has started on the site, any one hear this also ?

CONFIRMED, it'll be where ABC burned down.  Maybe it'll have a breakfast component to cater to hotel guests and others.

Thanks for the confirmation. If we went back three years I would have bet on "Big Wheel Burger" having 3 locations and not Bin 4.

Oh for sure. Bigwheel seemed to have had aggressive expansion plans once upon a time.

Seems like a strange location no? I guess I just think of Bin 4 as a downtown hipsters hang out.  Does it cheapen the brand when you start expanding and locating beside a motel, although a nice one at that?

I guess they're banking on few eatery options in that immediate area. Hundreds mjst work in the BC Systems building, no? And the Accent Inn will benefit from having a restaurant once again.

Speaking of Accent, aren't they building a new HQ alongside the new Bin 4?

1/2 hour government lunch hours aren't very lucrative unless you are immediately adjacent.  I'm guessing nobody leaves that building at lunch.  10 minutes at least are blown in the walk.

How many government workers do you know who take a 30 minute lunch?

Accent Inn is literally across the street and I can guarantee Bin 4 will have rush lunch options. Their downtown location is usually buzzing at lunch.

Most that work flex weeks are usually on 1/2 hour lunch.

This actually varies a lot in my office; about half take 30 minutes others around 45...but of course their work day is extended to cover the longer lunch break.

Some don't take breaks and lump it up during lunch, don't they?

Glad to see these guys doing well. Is that going to be a two story restaurant, or is the upper floor to be used for something else?

Seems like a strange place to me for getting traffic other than hotel guests, but perhaps it will become a destination that people will drive to.

I think it's a good location. Sometimes I'm in that area and am hungry, but don't want the Swiss Chalet, ABC Country, or Rosie's "experience."

What about Red Robin!  The first burger place.
