So, I'm a bit of a night owl, and have found that many places around town close up rather early. Anyone got some favourite late-night (like until midnight) or all-night places to eat?

Good idea for a thread.
All I can think of is Macs, but somehow, I don't think that counts.

Coffee Macs was the only all-night proper restaurant outside the downtown core I think, not sure if there are any now. I guess Paul's is closest.

Late. Maybe even 4AM.

Didn't know that. Are they allowed to sell booze that late?

NO. nOT LEGALLY, ANYWAY. No one in this town can sell past 2am. Most restaurants can't sell that late.

Oh man I'm going to have to hit up some of these late nite dining places when I move into town. Nothing much better than staying up into the very late night. Well maybe one thing, you know...

Well, I'm glad people have responded... but somehow I feared this would be the result. Yet, I am not deterred -- I will find some place, somewhere that serves yummy food late at night. This is my mission!

Is QV's still open late?
Nowadays most people die of a sort of creeping common sense, and discover when it is too late that the only things one never regrets are one's mistakes.

I went there a couple weeks ago around 1AM and they were closed.

Back in the day they operated 24/7.

Know it all.

What about the Fountain restaurant at Hillside and Blanshard? I used to order delivery from there back in the day, and I believe they are open until at least 4am. All the cabbies go there at night. Im not sure what their food is like these days, but they used to serve the best War Wonton I'd ever had!

I think QV doesn't do all night in the winter, although I'm under the impression that they're 24 hour in the summer.

And not downtown, but there is Denny's (euw) and what about Alzu's?

I always like the food at Swan's. It's the exact same cooks as the fancy gourmet restaurant next door and great beer - no cover and live music and dance every night.

Oh yeah, Fountain. The food is still alright and the traditional Chinese dishes are quite good.

I usually hit up Swans now that the Mint has gone downhill. And the Brickyard is a fun party place some nights, not sure how late it is open though.

And of course, my last resort will always be Denny's.

The new Peacock Billiards will have a 24 hour restaurant in it. It will also be licensed (not 24 hours, obviously).

Good news!

For those who may not know, the new billiards will be opening at Douglas and View in the CIBC building.
