I agree. The first time I went to the parade there were huge gaps and people would get up and try to determine if that was the end of the parade or if there was more coming. It seemed to go on forever. If you closed up all the gaps you could get it down to a two hour max. Eliminate some of the sketchier "floats" and get it down to 1.5 hours. I haven't been back since the first time because it is just too long and draggy.
I think the parade is waay too short. We need more "merican bands and scooter drill teams doing figure eights for ten minutes, and waay more candies being thrown out. More horses, and cows to clean up after.
The parade should start at 6:00am with a mobile pancake breakfast along the route. Television should be Pay Per View to encourage people to get off the couch and see it live.
