Lakeside Village is the commercial component of the multi-phased development in the 400-block of Six Mile Road in View Royal, just a stones throw from the parking lot entrance of Thetis Lake Park.

The project consists of 4 buildings, up to two storeys, with 16,500 square feet of total commercial space.

The architect is D'ambrosio and the developer is XW Sunrise Developments.

The sound is not nearly as bad as you'd expect there.

Looks like it might turn out something like Matticks Farm?  Will be nice to have some retail/food in the area that isn't just 6-Mile.

I can see this being quite popular for people going to and coming from Thetis Lake. And of course there's the whole Thetis Vale community that has sprung up on the hill north of this project and the recent subdivision that has been built on the flat land immediately across the street to the north.

Not that far to Eagle Creek Village though?

Eagle Creek Village isn't especially close to here, being over 3 km down the highway

Yup. Eagle Creek will serve those who live throughout that area and hospital staff/visitors. Lakeside is geared more towards park-goers and it's immediate surroundings.

Given the number of folks I see in the summer months walking along six mile road, I agree that it could be a pretty good spot.

Not quite. The noise of a highway is nothing like that of living downtown. What I mean is it is a constant noise, opposed to a go, stop, start, honk etc.

Looks like Urban Ground Market will be the first to launch here.

I was talking to a woman outside the store yesterday and she said they'd be doing a "soft launch"

next weekend.

We live next door in Thetis Edge, so we've been waiting for this Village to open for a long time.
